Pediatrics
From the tiniest infant to the changing adolescent and young adult, our staff is well equipped to care for your child's special needs.
In addition to taking your child to the physician when they are ill or in need of an examination to participate in an activity, routine well care visits are recommended. These visits follow a set schedule from birth to age 18 and include:
- Physical examination
- Immunization updates
- Tracking growth and development
- Vision, hearing and behavior screenings
- Laboratory studies as needed
- Finding any problems before they become serious
- Information on health & safety issues, nutrition and physical fitness
- Guidance in areas such as behavior, learning, emotions, puberty and family communication
- Dental examinations
Immunizations are the key to preventing disease. We will work with you to make sure that your child receives the shots as scheduled to increase their chance of not becoming sick. Through the Vaccines for Children program all pediatric immunizations are free of charge for our patients.
